Back in May region 17, in partnership with Bishop Shanahan High School, hosted a flag football carnival for girls in grades 5-8. The event featured a round robin style tournament, with special guests SWOOP and the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders. The event was extremely successful and the Region 17 Board will be considering girls flag football as an official region 17 sport for next spring.
